They’ve proven to be incredibly popular, with many online juggernauts (such as Amazon, Spotify and LinkedIn) now offering their own takes on the sought-after medium.

But will their upwards trajectory come to seriously hamper the podcast industry? Could they eventually spell the end of traditional audio shows? And what do podcasts look like in a Metaverse future anyway?
